A Little Reflection

During this coronavirus time, we are told to physically distance ourselves and to stay home. The world these days is not much like the prior time.

Some people say they have never once in their life experienced something like this. The effect of this pandemic is huge. Huge enough to force ourselves to distance ourselves one another and to shut down public facilities.

So what is the one simple message you can get during this crisis?

The essentials of life. God, human relationship, health, job, food, and shelter.

This coronavirus time reminds us that what really matters in life are those basic, fundamental things. The world has been so advanced and our attention has been so dispersed. We are busy with other non-essential things. We take those basic things for granted.

And this time is like a stop button for us. We are stopped from all distractions and it’s time to get back to the essentials.

All we need now is a good health, a job to make some money, food on the table available for today, and hopefully for the next days, roof above our head to shelter ourselves, and our relationship with our family members and friends, to whom we could communicate and share this crisis together, and our personal relationship with God, to whom we all surrender. In His wisdom our destiny is laid, and by His grace we would get through this.

Other than that? Most probably just some noise. Distraction. Non essential.

Those essentials are enough for a man to live on this earth. If you are healthy and you can make some money to buy some food and to shelter yourself, connected to family and friends, having a personal relationship with God, I think you are on the way to a decent life. And that’s all that matters.

So I wish you a good life even during this crisis. We hope this pandemic will be over soon. But anyway, keep doing good things. Stay sane and healthy. 🙂

With love,
